The word society comes from the Latin expression Societas which means “friendly association with others”. Society originated from the need of “association” between several human beings, thus forming communities. It is clear that the meaning of this association changed with time, integrating different aspects at different times.
Society exists because people exist and interact amongst each other, share interests, worries, culture and traditions, thus creating communities that are controlled by social institutions. But it hasn’t always been this way…
